AARP ? .. Me ?
Well, there comes a time when we get that envelope in the mail from AARP.
Yikes, I'm FIFTY !
When I was younger, I thought people of middle age were OLD. Now that I'm there, I really don't feel that bad. I don't feel much different, except more opinionated, but perhaps you need more life experience to feel secure about what you think. I still have a silly sense of humor, still love traveling and doing exciting things. So what, besides the number, is different..?
OKAY, I do have more health problems than I used to, and I worry about what's to come. But I guess that just means, I want to get older.
I have friends who have departed already, and it's sad to think they missed seeing their grandchildren, spouses grow older, and the many wonderful things we enjoy in life. Thinking about them, I decide to enjoy my life for as long as it lasts ! Heck yeah, I want any discounts I can get,.. so I returned the envelope with my membership fees inside !
