HOME ENTERTAINMENT
For a movie fan, like me, it's a wonderful thing. When I was a child, our media choices were limited - Radio or 7 channels of television. Today, we have such a variety of choices, that it's overwhelming to choose. Online media, such as NetFlix, can bring anything we want to watch right to our TV screen,.. or computer, iPad, iPhone., even some gaming consoles. I watch movies with my computer to look up anything I want to know.
" What did that guy play in..?" type, type, and voila - instant answers !
I love being able to get the information right when I want it. Isn't it better than walking around for two days trying to remember ?
Sometimes our fast paced media style trumps the experience we could be having. Recently, I attended a concert, and I was stunned to watch the majority of the people text, take pictures or video, take calls,.. instead of dancing to the music like I was. It makes me wonder how many things the next generation will do simultaneously ? Is this a good thing ? How many more accidents have we had since people starting multitasking while driving. Are we so busy taking video that we miss our child who's right beside us ? I believe that it's something worth being aware of. Technology shouldn't be our priority, Living and enjoying our family should be !
